On the afternoon of October 28, 2025, UH - Eastern Hydrogen Port Hydrogen Refueling Station in United Hydrogen welcomed a group of special "safety guardians" - the teaching and student team from the Chemical Engineering and Technology major of Jiaxing Nanhu College. Under the guidance of the professional team from the Hydrogen Safety Center, the students gained in-depth knowledge of the safety operation system of the hydrogen refueling station and the application scenarios of hydrogen energy through on-site visits, process demonstrations, and interactive discussions, laying a solid safety foundation for their future involvement in the hydrogen energy industry.

As the first hydrogen refueling station in Jiaxing to obtain both business and filling licenses, UH - Eastern Hydrogen Port is a modern hydrogen refueling station that integrates high efficiency and high safety standards. It also adopts an intelligent station control management system, which can precisely monitor the entire hydrogen refueling process to ensure safe operation. For this reason, it has become an important base for the integration of industry, academia, and research at Nanhu College.
Under the guidance of the professional team of the Hydrogen Safety Center, the students successively visited the core equipment area of the station:
Hydrogen storage system: This station adopts cutting-edge design concepts, equipped with an advanced hydrogen storage cylinder group with a water volume of 18 cubic meters and a pressure of 45 megapascals, as well as two 30-cubic-meter hydrogen long-tube trailers. The total hydrogen storage capacity reaches 1,000 kilograms, and it can provide hydrogen refueling services for approximately 200 hydrogen fuel cell heavy trucks every day.
Compression system: Inside the station, there are two latest technology-based high-performance and high-flow liquid-driven compressors and dual-gun dual-metering hydrogen generators. The hydrogen production capacity can reach 1000 standard cubic meters per hour, enabling rapid pressure increase from low pressure to high pressure. This significantly improves the hydrogen injection efficiency and provides users with a safe, high-quality, and convenient hydrogen refueling service experience.
Monitoring System: The dual-gun dual-metering hydrogen filling machine supports 35MPa/70MPa dual-level filling. Combined with the intelligent station control system, it continuously monitors over 20 parameters such as temperature, pressure, and flow rate throughout the filling process, ensuring a safe and efficient filling operation.

"Hydrogen refueling stations are the 'safety valve' of the hydrogen energy industry chain. The professional team of the Hydrogen Safety Center uses real-time data within the station as an example to explain to students the key points of the entire process of hydrogen safety control from transportation, storage to refueling. 'Before each hydrogen-powered heavy truck is refueled, it must undergo triple verification of cylinder pressure, temperature, and leakage detection. During the refueling process, the temperature of the hydrogen gas is controlled below -40℃ through the inter-stage cooling system to prevent the risk of hydrogen embrittlement.' 'Safety is the lifeline of the hydrogen energy industry.' Through this training, United Hydrogen hopes that students will not only master the technical and safety operation norms, but also deeply understand the triangular relationship of 'safety - efficiency - sustainability' in the hydrogen energy industry. From the birth of a bottle of hydrogen to the running of a hydrogen-powered vehicle, when young students resonate with the hydrogen energy industry, the green future will surely accelerate its arrival."
