Amid the tide of the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, Jiaxing Port Area, with its "Eastern Hydrogen Port" status, is becoming a national benchmark for the innovative development of the hydrogen energy industry. On August 8th, the 2025 "Vigorous China Research Tour" Zhejiang theme interview activity led by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee visited this vibrant port. A press corps composed of central and provincial media, as well as industry media, delved into how this port city is using hydrogen energy as a fulcrum to drive the industrial transformation towards green and low-carbon development. During this research focusing on the energy revolution, Zhang Jihua, vice president of United Hydrogen Group （UHG）, attended the symposium and shared practical achievements.

Jiaxing Port Zhapu Port Area is a pioneer in the large-scale use of hydrogen fuel cell container trucks in national ports. Currently, it has deployed 100 49-ton hydrogen fuel cell container trucks. Each refueling takes only 15 minutes, with a range of 450 kilometers and an average hydrogen consumption of 8 kilograms per 100 kilometers. Compared with traditional fuel trucks, each hydrogen fuel cell truck can save 300,000 yuan in fuel costs annually and reduce carbon emissions by nearly 100 tons. Currently, two-thirds of the traditional heavy trucks in the port area have been replaced, forming a "zero-carbon logistics artery". The press corps witnessed the actual application scenarios of hydrogen fuel cell heavy trucks in cargo handling and short-distance transportation at the port, and praised the port's innovative practices in green logistics.
